Articulate School Programmes
Articulate Language Camps offer a range of programmes to help support language learning and teaching in school. We offer Residential Camps where pupils can stay with us for 2-7 days for a language learning adventure. You can also join us for a day or we can join you in school with our range of exciting Day Camps. Our teacher CLPL courses support primary teachers in implementing the 1+2 approach and teaching out of the classroom. We love helping the country’s amazing schools get pupils excited about learning and using a foreign language.
Our residential camps offer a great alternative to taking secondary pupils on a trip abroad, can help pupils prepare for exams or act as alternative to primary school outdoor centre residential experiences - with the added benefit of language learning. Our camps encourage using the foreign language for real communication in an exciting way without leaving the country!
From a 2-day weekend programme to a 5-day camp, we immerse pupils in the language they are studying and make language learning fun and meaningful.
In the mornings, pupils are divided into small groups with a language tutor where they focus on a particular grammar or vocabulary topic before taking part in a variety of fun digital media projects. For example, our primary campers could make a cookery film showing them making a pizza in Spanish and our secondary campers could create an animation using ER verbs in French.
We can even offer tailored residential revision camps for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher exams where our morning programme focuses on skills needed to be successful in national qualifications.
Afternoons are spent taking part in a variety of outdoor sport and adventure activities through the foreign language - from archery, kayaking and fencing to military assault courses, capture the flag and extreme dodgeball. The learning never stops as there is always language learning input throughout the day.
In the evenings, teachers can relax as we continue to entertain the pupils. After a mouthwatering evening meal of international cuisine, pupils take part in escape rooms, Master Chef, treasure hunts, quizzes and film nights to name but a few.
Our school language camps are also open to schools outside of the UK. We can often pair schools together on a camp (e.g a French school and a British school) so that young people can engage with young natives of the language they are studying too. Get in touch for more information.
It’s all about you!
All our camps are custom-built to your needs, the learning focus you wish, the age of your pupils and their level in their studied language. We can also offer more than one foreign language on the same camp.
Prices start at £240 per camper for a 5-day residential.

With pupils having to choose their subjects far earlier in their learning careers, we are always looking for ways to engage pupils with modern languages. With Articulate, languages can be taken out of the classroom for a day at one of our centres or taught through digital media and exciting outdoor challenges in your school. The evidence generated is great for Curriculum for Excellence and can even be used for assessment purposes too.
We provide all the equipment and expertise necessary so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the language fun!
There are a variety of project days to choose from such as adventure days, photo story workshops, treasure hunts, animation workshops and even film-making. Have a look at our brochure for a more detailed explanation of the day camps on offer.
It’s all about you!
We custom-build each day to fit your budget, group size and location. Tell us what you are looking for and we will build the perfect course for you.
Prices start at £300 per day.
